Bogota

South America

Updated March 20, 2013: 6 months and 10 days after getting on the plane to Bogota, Colombia, I have explored many nooks and crannies of the beautiful South America. 7 countries in total (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay). Countless number of amazing people. I couch-surfed, camped, hitchhiked, and learned enough Spanish to consider myself at “intermediate” level. I met friends and family who came to travel with me along the way. I hiked and climbed mountains, swam in lakes, rivers, spent 3 weeks in wilderness of Northern Patagonia and now I’m back in San Francisco working to build an awesome coworking space in the city – www.StartupHouse.com

Updated October 7, 2012: I am currently traveling South America. The rough plan is to spend ~6 months traveling (September 2012 – March 2013), but as Lao Tzu said: “A Good Traveller has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving”. So I look forward to see where the dusty roads of South America will take me.

Here’s a rough visual for my trip. I can guarantee that it will change, but for the most part it should be accurate in that it my trip will continue south from Colombia and all the way down to the tip of the continent. As I continue to travel, I will fill in and update the information for each point.

Note: click on each point to see when approximately I plan to be there. Green is future, red is past and blue are places i did not visit and am leaving them for another trip. Come meet me along the way!
